both cut today. Hate it for both but I called this years ago. Neither was ready, both should have stayed in school and finished out with the Cards.

Yeah you called it like a thousand people thought the same thing. I don’t think another year would have made a difference to their personal careers. We are just being selfish in our own wants and desires.both cut today. Hate it for both but I called this years ago. Money now... Nowadays I don’t think these guys make their decisions on their own. I think they have to weigh the money now versus how much more they can make while risking the potential of a career ending injury. Unless you’re at that level, I don’t think the average fan knows how every time they set foot on the court against guys of equal or better talent, they’re risks.Adel doesn’t surprise me but Spading does. Hopefully other players will look at this in the future and think twice before they jump. I would say both needed to stay and work on their defense but since they don’t play defense in the NBA that can’t be it.
True, but how often can one motivate himself to get back in the classroom after a few years absence when he is flush with cash? Some can but far too many wait until the cash runs out.A person can always finish school later; can't always play professional basketball. Even if playing overseas, in a good league(Europe) a kid cam make great $$$, and experience of living in another country.
Its not like they aren't going to be making money somewhere playing basketball.Adel doesn’t surprise me but Spading does. some of the richest, smartest, and most world influencing individuals do not have a college degree. i have an engineering degree and have never been paid a penny for using it. waste of money. you can learn more from many other sources than ever needing a degree.True, but how often can one motivate himself to get back in the classroom
This is irrelevant to kids that have spent their entire lives trying to do one thing: get into the NBA.some of the richest, smartest, and most world influencing individuals do not have a college degree. i have an engineering degree and have never been paid a penny for using it. waste of money. you can learn more from many other sources than ever needing a degree.

True, but they will eventually approach age 40. That is generally when the fecal matter starts hitting the fan.some of the richest, smartest, and most world influencing individuals do not have a college degree. i have an engineering degree and have never been paid a penny for using it. waste of money. you can learn more from many other sources than ever needing a degree.
and just because they were cut, they can still go the the G league and work their way into the league. either way, i bet they get paid money to play basketball somewhere as opposed to actually having to get a job.
