"So Sharp" Premieres tonight at 10PM on Lifetime

If you are interested in the Lady Cards Dance Team and it's coach Todd Sharp, they will be the subject of a new reality series on The Lifetime Channel starting Wednesday 7/26 at 10PM. The previews I have seen on TV indicate it will be "captivating". Coach Sharp is apparently quite a character, to put it mildly. LoL!

He's the long-time coach of the University of Louisville Ladybirds dance team (and Floyd Central Dazzlers) who's name says it all.

Todd Sharp is a tough-as-nails competitor, mentor and coach with more national championships under his belt than anyone else in the sport.

His tough and tender winning style attracted the producers at Lifetime, who plucked Sharp and his U of L Ladybirds to follow in their new summer reality show "So Sharp."

Your first chance to catch the drama, frustration, elation and successes - all part of the entertainment -is coming up Wednesday, July 26 when the show premieres at 10 p.m.

Here's how Lifetime describes the star of their new show: "He's driven, precise and over-the-top. The team (Ladybirds) has over 15 national championships under their belt, and with this year’s nationals fast approaching, Sharp will push the ladies to another victory, even if it kills him."

I've honestly had the same thought. Reality TV has a way of making a mockery of its subjects.

Ok. Nothing too bad. Just a bunch of drama filled cat fighting, and some real diva action all around...including Coach Sharp. Really looks like the perfect vehicle for a successful reality show.

You can rest assured that the drama was already there.

There always is drama when you have people who are really good at what they do trying to come together to achieve a goal. Add to this that these are young women, some of whom are still in their teens, trying to deal with college life at the same time, and it adds up.

But, reality TV is about amplifying drama for the viewer and creating "good guys" to root for and villains to root against.
