Snider's D is going to need to improve

He is such a good ball player but he does seem to be sub standard defensively. He got abused a few times tonight. It's going to be hard to hide him against top tier guards that we're going to see in the future.

What are your thoughts here?

Is his D going to be a big problem, or no?

I think that Snider's defense will turn out to be a liability at times though I admit I haven't really seen him play this season yet. Against those very quick guards he will have some trouble staying in front of them.

Adel was getting beat off the dribble too. His lateral footwork needs improving.

I agree about Snider, but Mitchell seems to have a solid grasp on how to play defense. If Q doesn't improve his defense, he'll lose his minutes to Mitchell IMO.

The switching we do can help Q. It's a confusing defense in its coordination, with no one afraid to guard anyone else. Teams will try and draw out our bigs to get to the rim but I'm not so sure we'll let them, lol. I also think we under rate his defense to a degree. His lateral movement has really become speedier.

Snider's and Adel's lack of defense can be accounted for by our bigs at the rim IF they don't get in foul trouble. Thing is we got 4 bodies to throw out there. Depth is a plus.

He handled himself well in the NCAA last season. He has lost weight and is much quicker. Hopefully he continues to get better. His offense is drastically improved.
