The double standard in the media is just unbelievable when it comes to the University of Louisville. It's all of them. Now I know many expect BS from Doug Gottlieb but he's just the latest example of judging Louisville with the usual criteria. When they got the #4 seed, he said they were overseeded and got the seed because of their reputation. He brings up the Chris Jones thing like they all do. Never mind the full balance of work achieved by the Cards during the season. They should be judged and seeded after Chris Jones.
Now there are other teams that have not played as well due to injured players like Virginia and Kansas, but the media says that shouldn't be used against them in seeding. They talk about Kansas's body of work despite being blown out by Temple and with a loss to Oklahoma State. Virginia has lost two out of three, one to the Cards, but the media still says they should get a # 2 seed because of their body of work. I agree with this, but I would also say the Cavs are potential early upset victims because of the hampered Anderson but none in the media will say it.
I think the Cards finally got a decent bracket. A possible 2nd round game with a mid-major team seeded #5. The Cards could lose to them no doubt, but I would rather see them than the other #5 seeds. Then of all the #1 seeds, I would rather see Villanova than the others. The Wildcats was in a very mediocre Big East and that's why they have lost only twice. I think Arizona should have gotten that #1 seed.
Don't know anything about UC Irvine except they have a dude who's 7'6. Playing in Seattle has to be awesome for Aaron, but he may not come back with the team after getting there.
