Yep, I'm shocked that we got a 2 seed. I'll take it but I'm still in shock considering the way we ended our season. When you look at the bracket we may have gotten a major break.

SS I disagree that we've been "overrated" all season. I remember that we played for 6 or 7 games without two of our guards and had to use a 2 as our point for awhile. We ARE our own worst enemy with poor and inconsistent FF shooting and even from the 3 point line but overrated, I don't think so. We played in the best conference in the USA and that can make you look bad.

Until the last 2 weeks of the season, I thought we were the best team in the country. So I disagree about being overrated all season, but do agree that a #2 seed is a little high. I'll take it though.

I figured a solid 3 seed going into the ACC tourney, 4 seed after the loss, and back to a solid 3 seed after Duke took care of UNC. JMO

OTOH I feared the committee would drop us to a 4 seed. They did that to the 2014 team that was a better team than this year's team.

I remember that. I expected a 1 seed and did a double take when I saw them on the 4 line. Kind of did the same yesterday when we popped in as a 2 - I expected a 3 or 4.

In 2014, I figured they gave no respect to the AAC, and the team we beat 3 times won it all.

Yeah, some of our fan expectations are a little out there... Against the best teams on our schedule--Baylor, Purdue, LPT, UVA, ND, Duke, FSU, Cuse, and UNC--we finished 6-7 with 6 games played at home, 5 away, and 2 at neutral sites.

If that was a little disappointing for some (and I'm not sure why it should be), we also went 18-1 against everyone else regardless of where games were played.

To have gone 8-5 or 9-4 against the teams on the above list, you'd have to be better than most of the top teams in the country. And no one this year is that good...
