I was really hoping he'd still be at VCU when Pitno retired. He's the guy I wanted. I like his style of play and I think he would recruit better at UofL (than VCU, not necessarily Pitino). Greg Marshal is good, but I don't enjoy watching his teams. I also think his kids miss a lot of fundamentals as there are sooo many times his kids miss easy pick and rolls.

Anyway, it will be interesting to see what happens in the long run.

If TJ wants him, he can get him away from Texas. It'll cost but Smart might be worth it. I like him going to Texas for 2 reasons. The first is the step up in competition, and the second is we'll be able to see just how well he can recruit on the bigger stage. We already know he can coach.

Whenever Rick leaves we will get a great coach. I don't sweat that anymore. Everything is in place, we're not in C-USA anymore!
