Seahawks Sherman & Bennett Blast NCAA

What a surprise...Richard Sherman pontificating and complaining about something. There are trade-offs to being a student-athlete.. As someone who played football in college, I can say that the benefits both while in school and post-graduation certainly outweighed the costs.

Well Mr. Sherman. Why don't you just go into a classroom and tell the kids that to their face. I'm sure they will be more than happy to hear about poor you. Poor you is making millions while they are raking in the debt. Ya, I'm sure they will listen to you.

He has a point. More than one, actually. Sherman was a serious student at Stanford, and is not just some knucklehead mouthing off. However, He makes some assumptions about non-athletes just sort of hanging out and taking it easy with all their downtime. In fact, a lot of those kids work jobs- some of them physically taxing jobs, to earn their way through school. Paying student athletes is fraught with problems, but he's right, some reforms need to happen.

I don't follow his logic. He says it is really tough to go to practice and then to study. Because of that, some cash would be nice. So getting cash would help with the lack of time to study?

Here's the problem a lot of moms and dads get up at 6:00 a.m. and work two jobs but still can't afford to send their kids to college, and if the kid isn't a high profile athlete then they have to go about getting their education by taking out loans and/or working. I've heard Sherman is really smart but would he or some of his teammates at Stanford actually have been able to get accepted there if not for football, just sayin life is hard all the way round, so you had to park your car in order to buy food some students don't even have a car, they have to walk.

I don't dislike too many people in this world. But Sherman is one that rubs me so wrong that I genuinely dislike the guy. I am a huge Pats fan and would have liked nothing more then Tom Brady to throw his nose in the air at him when he came to him after the Super Bowl. Of course after the fact, I'm glad he didn't. Sherman just doesn't know how to win or lose with class and Sunday was actually the first little bit of class he has shown. After he made an ass out of himself during the game yet again. Just don't like that guy at all!
