Score Prediction - Cards vs Golden Knights

Malik throws for less than 175, fumbles once and throws a pick. Offense generates 300-325 total yards. Malik throws for 175-190 and rushes for 50-75 more. No single RB has more than 50 yards and our RBs average less than 3.5 ypc but Satterfield will insistent on calling run plays 50%+ of the time until gamescript forces him to pass more in the 2nd half.
Cards D gets two turnovers but aren't able to muster anything more than FGs. I don't think UCF will do what Ole Miss and soften their D in the 2nd half with a lead, they'll need to win in convincing fashion so I don't think UofL will get those 2nd half garbage points like they did against Ole Miss.

Really great analysis and shows your true feelings. If that is what you call being a Card fan...then this team is better off without you and this negative loser attitude and lack of support.

I was just curious - all of us that has posted on here are projecting them to lose so I was assuming because I added some added info in my prediction you were singling me out.
When did it become a requirement that you have to be a sunshine pumper in order to be a true fan? I hope they win, hope I'm wrong. Nothing I've seen this year or honestly for the last year and a half makes me think thats happening. I'll gladly eat crow. Hopefully this game starts a rise in the program - I'm simply saying based on what we've seen, this is what I'm predicting.
You've got an offense S-T-R-U-G-G-L-I-N-G and one based on the run going up against a great run defense and your WRs and QB have shown little and you want me to ignore that and just be like "yeah guys they're going to win because they play hard and they want it deep in their hearts!! GO CARDS!!!" Yeah no....that ain't me. I'm a realistic fan. I think UCFs offense will score enough to easily win and I've seen nothing from this offense to make me think they can score without being able to run the ball. This is also their 3rd game in like 12 days or something - they're tired.
Sorry dude. I think UCF wins and I think because they're in the AAC they don't take their 1st team defense or offense off the field with a lead so I think we struggle to score and I don't think we get any garbage points.
Also, I just spoke in generalities in regards to my player predictions. Malik is turnover prone and our OLine isn't good - I think he'll force some things and UCF will capitalize. Our OLine is bad and if our RBs couldn't muster more than 4.1 YPC against EKU I think they'll obviously be far worse against an infinitely better opponent.

When it comes to Cards FB, I never concede to anything. You see garbage points in 2nd half vs Ole Miss. I see they did not quit and give up....and executed plays better...and scored points because of their heart and spirit.
How many points did you expect vs EKU? Scored 30 really 37 if Freshman holds onto the frigging ball for 2 more yards. Played lots of backups to gain experience and "D' did not allow a TD. (Bet FSU vs J St would have liked that outcome).
Worked out some kinks in that game. Victory never in doubt from start to finish and won handily while playing lots of guys. Win win situation and yet you negative nellies want to find fault and make mole hills into mountains. You wanted perfection and 60 points and still wouldn't have been satisfied. NUTS to that.
And I, not for a minute believe you are one bit sorry for your thoughts and attitude because that is who you are.

This could be the game that it all comes to together. Normally for games like that there is visible progression over a few games. Do you think Louisville has progressed? Do you feel like good about the team based on these first two games?

They did work out kinks against EKU.....AGAINST EKU. There's working out kinks and there's not being able to easily handle a far, far inferior opponent in the trenches. The OLine's play and the DLines play was shockingly terrible if you managed to watch and not just look at the box score you'd have noticed that. The offense punted SEVEN TIMES against EKU, the offense was 4-14 on 3rd down, the oline got 4.2 YPC.....for an offensive performance like that against a team like EKU I hope those kinks are all gone because anything close to how they performed the previous 2 games won't cut it against UCF.

Sitting around hoping and wishing the next game is the turnaround game is one way to be a fan - but it ain't the only way.
Also....obviously not beating another P5 team the rest of the year was a bit of hyperbole on my part with Duke and Cuse on the schedule but it wouldn't shock me if they only won those two games and maybe one more either. Its all on these coaches to develop these kids and adapt their offensive gameplan. Hopefully it happens....hasn't looked good so far. Time will tell.

I think the effort will be there all night. I just can’t see us beating a team like UCF who is solid on both sides of the ball after not being able to push around an FCS team in EKU.
Hopefully our defense plays stout and gets some turnovers.

I guess I'm an eternal optimist for the home team, but I think the Cards defense is ok and will do enough to stop Gus Malzahn's offense. And I think the OL will come together for a much more respectable effort, and the 3 running backs and Cunningham will each have their moments running the ball The final -- Cards win due to a UCF missed extra point.

I simply don't understand the mentality that if you believe your favorite team will lose, you're not a real fan. How many different teams could Louisville be playing tomorrow that would be okay to pick a Cards loss? UCF should be one of them.
What about Cincinnati? What about Boise State? Louisville would be hard pressed to beat either of these teams not in a power 5 conference. At the same time, the Cards could win as well. Nothing is impossible except Alabama of course.

Remember the 2 and 10 season? Petrino's final year? I pointed out after the loss to FSU that season I didn't think we would win another game. Well guess what? We didn't.
That did not make me a hater or a fake fan. It seemed rather obvious to me watching that team. Now this season isn't that bad but this guys opinion is not unbelievable and it surely doesn't make him a hater. In fact, his in depth defense of his comments should already have convinced you he's a Cards fan who's just a bit pessimistic after two unimpressive performances.

I gave up predicting outcomes long ago; it’s why they play the games.
I can understand why the vast majority of our fans see this as a loss for the Cards, as the 1st half against Ole Miss was about as disappointing of a performance as I have witnessed. The EKU win was somewhat frustrating as well, given the number of offensive series that were inconsistent from one play to another.
On a positive note, I see this defense as much improved over 2020, and even some improvement between the 1st and 2nd half against the Rebels. Not sure yet why our OL has struggled thus far, but I did see some encouraging signs in their blocking assignments in the 2nd half against the Colonels. That unfortunately is not a good indicator of where we are right now.
It is still too early in the season to be using the 3rd game as a measurement of this UL team’s finish. It may very well turn out that Ole Miss and UCF are legitimate top 10 contenders by the time Bowl season arrives. UGA and Alabama are already in their own class of the SEC and America …….Ole Miss and Arkansas could both be leaders in the SEC, just behind the #1 and #2, which historically would fit in for top 10 recognition.

Para 1. Did you blather on and on about how they would lose every game after 2 games for the rest of the year like a billy goat, running the players and the team down for every game...his track record indicates he will. I don't recall that you did that in CBP final year.
His defense of his comments validates that he is not of man of his words...his hyperbole defense is lame....say what you mean and mean what you say.
Backing off his strong divisive comments exhibits low character and lack of integrity. "Mommy, I didn't really mean it...I am not really sorry, etc".
That is this guy. Loser attitude. loser mentality. He is what he is. Not who I would want in a foxhole with me when the going gets tough. He just wants to be able to tell you "I told you so".

I will also gladly come on here and admit I was incorrect if the Cards lose this game. And I won't state that they will not win another game this year if they lose no matter how disappointed I will be at the loss. That is the difference in you and me.
Looking at life in a positive lite never makes it miserable for me. As a cancer survivor and 25 year AF Veteran, every day is special to me. Just loving life man. Pray you can do the same. I don't sweat the small stuff anymore.
Try and enjoy the game no matter the outcome. At least we get to watch them. At least for now.
I hope we win but I am not predicting anything. I think it is so important to turn things around because if we continue down this road we are going to have a hard time recruiting under Satterfield. Once we start losing recruits Satterfield is done but so is our rebuild.
I can see where you are coming from. I was pretty negative after opening night and probably a little too frustrated in some of my posts.
