I know he hasn't played a lot of minutes and the competition last game was underwhelming, but I've liked what Wheeler has shown so far. For a true freshman coming off a major injury, I think he has much potential down the road.
Loved seeing him roll to the hoop and slam it home last game. He has a good frame, some bounce, can shoot free throws, and is pretty quick for a big. He was a shot blocker in high school and I would hope that happens here too as he adjusts to the speed of the college game.
Most nights I would rather get Wheeler more experience, or Curry, than playing Gabe but Mack says Gabe does some things better. Just think Wheeler has a much higher ceiling than Gabe.
