If you want a microcosm of what is wrong with this football team watch the first Louisville possession on replay. First down: RB off tackle but Crum totally whiffs on block and cornerback makes the tackle for one-yard loss. Second down: run off tackle for six yards. Third down: wide open Jaylen Smith drops perfect pass two yards past first down marker, Punt. That demoralizes everybody including the coaches. I don't think the coaches trust the players and the players don't trust each other. Also, bench Smith. At least two drops per game and doesn't seem to care. Why do good receivers drop passes that hit them in the hands? Take a guess.
