Scott Satterfield has begun to add to the Louisville football program's recruiting class, picking up a commitment from defensive tackle Renato Brown on Sunday night.

Brown, who announced via Twitter, is a three-star prospect from Palm Beach Central High School in South Florida. He checks a number of the Louisville coaching staff's boxes: He's a big body on the interior of either the offensive or defensive line, and he's from South Florida, for instance.

Some sites list Brown as an offensive guard, while some list him as a defensive tackle. He ranks as the No. 36 guard in 247sports.com's 2019 composite rankings, though he told The Sun-Sentinel last August that he'd prefer to play defense in college.

Brown committed to Miami in September of 2017 and reversed that commitment last May. He pledged to Louisville after an official visit this weekend. He also had offers from Alabama, Florida, Kentucky and Georgia.

Already, the Cardinals' new staff is making an impact: Brown's primary recruiter according to 247sports.com is Cort Dennison, who recently rejoined Louisville as co-defensive coordinator and is a successful recruiter.

Brown would be the sixth member of Louisville's 2019 class, and the third brought in by Satterfield and his staff. The new coaches have three more recruiting weekends before they must finalize their class on Feb. 6, national signing day.

Good pick up has ability to play both sides. They will need to add 1 or 2 more to the class. They lost the kid from Georgia to UNC. Could have been a mutual decision guard for a guard. I would say they are looking for a tackle now. They are working a couple others, one being a Miss St commit. They could use him on the defensive side of the ball, if they land a couple more kids on the Oline.
