Remember when

Remember when CBP and his staff came in and started recruiting and the fans started to complain about some of the players they were recruiting. They were saying Petrino couldn't recruit and some of the players him and his staff were bringing in weren't P5 players.
I remember one of the players they were criticized for when they offered him a scholarship. It was Jamari Staples, who transferred to UL from Alabama Birmingham and the critics said we really hit a low point by offering him. He had no big time offers and UAB was his best offer he would not be able to compete on the P5 level.
I was wondering what those critics think now because he sure has looked good this year.

Yeah but all our knowledgeable fans who keep making these foolish statements about what we have and what we don't have and the awful coaching most of the time are talking out of frustration . Staples is a perfect example of some of our fans judging what is on paper and not the talent the coaches see. We didn't lose today because of Staples he had a great game.

We do have a bunch who quickly say things like "he's only a 2 star" or "glad he's got offers from Kent and UAB".

All I can say is I'll take a lot of 2 and 3 stars we've had over the years over 5 star JHC. So far anyway.

Actually quite the opposite…when UAB shut their program down MANY people here thought we had a great shot to get any good players from there because of McGee.

But all in all…..as someone said "we lost"
