I remember when the Cards offense under Bobby Petrino was get our talented skill players the ball in open space. The yards after catch was a strength that opened other aspects like the running game. This season it looks like every run starts from behind the QB. No pitch outs to RB's or receivers on reverses. No jet sweeps or any misdirection. Our studs like Atwell and Dez never seem to have any space when they get the ball.

I'm watching this Colorado/UCLA game tonight and both offenses are light years ahead of Louisville's. There has been more creative play calling in this game than the entire season for Louisville. I'm not talking about trick plays, just plays that put the defense in a bind because they can't be sure which direction the runners are going or which direction the play is headed. I'm no offensive coordinator but this season the offense looks so predictable that I guess correctly most times what the play is going to be.

We got to get the ball to our fast receivers like Atwell, Riley and Dez and we need to throw fades in the end zone to our tall receivers like Smith, Dawkins and Peete. This zone read game is driving me crazy.
