i posted years ago that college football should head this way, create a top tier of football programs, 96 x 6 conferences of 16 each, or less, numbers not the important part, then bottom teams fight to stay in while lower levels fight to move up just like european soccer. if you create a 32 or 64 team league there will always be teams wanting in so relegation only way to go. maybe 64 teams in tier 1, 64 tier 2 and 32 tier 3. whatever it takes but i think going to be multiple levels with teams moving up and down based on performance. i'd see us as top 64 but not sure if they went with top 32 if we'd be in.
