for the season. That's really all that's left for this team. There are, at minimum, 2 games left. Saturday's game will tell if the UVA game broke their spirits or not.
Other than filling out a bracket with our team in it, it doesn't matter. This program is abov just making the tournament, this team is a participation award team, not a title threat.for the season. That's really all that's left for this team. There are, at minimum, 2 games left. Saturday's game will tell if the UVA game broke their spirits or not.
I agree. I just wish they learned this a lot sooner than now...Let's look at the positives from this game. We held a double digit lead on the best team in the country and only lost because we gave them the game. Virginia didn't beat us, we beat ourselves. It is now proven that when this team plays with passion and intensity, they can beat anybody in the country. Fix the mistakes and move forward.
Most teams have ugly statistics against Virginia. And yes, Deng is still out of control too much. Also, I don't see King as important to us in terms of winning games. Like Deng, he is first and foremost a shot hunter. The positive last night was good defense most of the game and over all better effort. We all know we had the game won except for a prayer shot and bad decisions on our part. However, if you look at a bigger picture the recipe for losing was much the same as a lot of our losses. Snider - 0 assists, King - 30 minutes but only 2 Rebs, 0 assists, Adel - 16 shots, only other player with more than 10 was Snider. Mahmoud - 3 shots in 21 minutes. Lost rebounding battle 34-27.
