I very much doubt Tyra has a say so on who will be hired. That or he will be SEVERELY hamstrung on who he can hire, either way he's a yes man.

Don’t think Tyra’s a yes man. But if he’s hamstrung I hope he tells them to kiss his a$$ and then quits. That will tell us all we need to know.

All we can do is move forward, vent the applicants as much as possible and have plenty of language in the contract to release the coach if anything negative pops up. What else can you do? Can't plant our feet in concrete and stand still.

The issue is we can't afford another mistake. Can you imagine the headlines? And there's never been a riskier time to hire someone with college coaching experience...

Why would you not think Tyra is a yes man, he didn't go through a job search competing against other candidates. He was hand picked by the idiots ( Grissom & Postel ) in charge.

I'm not completely sure that Tyra fits my definition of a "yes man". But I think it's very likely that he was (1) presented with Grissom & Postel's vision for U of L and athletics specifically, and (2) Tyra accepted the position on that basis. I said from the beginning that you're just a blind optimist to think otherwise...
