Quashon Fuller will be on campus as an official visitor this weekend, that’s old news and if you didn’t know now you do. What wasn’t known was that he’s bringing his mother along for the visit. At least that is the plan right now.
What’s the significance of a recruit bringing their parent on a visit you may ask, well let me tell you that it’s very significant. In the recruiting game, if a prospect is lucky to score a round trip all expense paid trip to a school they don’t plan to sign with, they usually come solo. That’s so they can listen to the staff’s pitch all day then hit the town at night with thier host and party.
When mom and/or dad come with the prospect however, that suggests that the visit is being taken seriously. When parents accompany a prospect it’s typically to meet the people who will be in charge of their son for the next three to four years as well a get a feel for the campus and the academic side of things.
I know that Fuller’s mother is the major adult decision maker in his recruitment so all signs point to Louisville being in serious consideration. You may think, “of course his mother is a major decision maker” but in my experience that isn’t always the case.
I’ll update the board when I get confirmation that Fuller and his mother have arrived as well as any other developments on the visit as they occur.
