After next year is the year that you can really judge Bobby. Next year should be the best team yet.
Time will tell as there are still 7 minutes left but if j brohm and Purdue pull this one out, I think patience with Bobby has to grow even thinner.

There are two separate issues. One is dissatisfaction with where Bobby is at this point in his 2nd stint. I can’t disagree with that. We have blamed DC’s, recruiting, injuries, whatever. It is time for Bobby to be on the hot seat.
The 2nd issue is who is out there IF we need to find a replacement. Brohm is a logical choice because of his connection to the city.

Kragthorpe to Strong is the only one that comes to mind.
Brohm is in a total rebuild mode and the Big Ten is going to be really tough. It will take him at least 3 years to get that going. They aren't winning many games this year. It is hard to predict how many wins this Louisville team will get but it sure feels like 5-6 instead of 8 or 9. Too many injuries on the side of the ball they could afford to lose many.
Next year is when Bobby and his staff will be judged unless this year completely goes sideways.

Yeah, we don't have to tear down one of ours because there are some fans here that want to see him come back here someday.
Let's see how he moves that program over the next couple seasons before we either anoint him or determine after a bad loss, that he can't coach.
K-rag and Cooper were nowhere close to a coach like Petrino.
I purposely didn't say "good" coach in the question to draw out the examples. There are none like Petrino that I know of, in ANY sport.
And BTW, the modern history of all of those fires/hires was managed by the best AD in the biz. Follow the example he set...
