Purdue Beats Notre Dame

Beating Purdue is a good out of conference win. Losing to Baylor (at the moment) doesn't look to be a real bad loss, but we'll know where we stand after the next 4 games. The next 4 are going to be freaking brutal. If we come out of this stretch 2-2 or better, then I'll be content.

The Baylor loss was bad because they blew a 22 point lead.

I know its over and done with.

True, but I was talking about the end game. On paper, losing to Baylor right now doesn't look all that bad. Yet to be seen if that holds up over the course of the season.

We got UofK next, and there is no comparison to date. UofK will be the best team the Cards have faced to date and maybe on the season. I'm hoping the Cardinals strong defense can at least slow them down enough so the Cardinals can stay in the game. From a pure raw talent stand point, there is no question UofK has more. Frankly I'm not expecting UofL to win the game. Our offense is just too spotty to stick with them IMO. Sure hope I'm wrong.

Agreed.

Id say Louisville has more talent as a whole, but SuCkS has two elite level players,
Who do 90% of the heavy lifting. Their 6 bench players average 6 shot attempts or less.

Whats scary is how easily Berry got into the lane against SuCkS.

Purdue was the first big test that the front court passed this season. However they will have many more tests as the season progresses. I know they might not always get the job done but knowing that they are capable of doing it was good to see.

That was the first time I've seen UofK play, and I was impressed with their offense. Monk was unstoppable, and the Fox kid pretty much did what he wanted to do too. The big dude in the middle (bam?) looks to be another Cousins type with his attitude but there is no questioning his talent. There was defense being played, but both teams had better offensive games and the defenses couldn't stop each other. It's hard to get a true feel for what UofK has since I hadn't seen them play until yesterday but I already know they have a much better offense than we have. They can score. We have trouble scoring.

Completely agree. I'd be happy to win the VA and ND games and forget about the other two. Rather get off to a great start in the ACC. I think we can beat UK but we have to play great D and stop their transition game. IU - I just haven't seen enough though they impressed me in the UNC game (I saw part of the first half).
