Now the committee will have to show whether they have prejudice. Clemson goes down, Washington goes down, Michigan is in a dog fight with an unranked team.

UofL started slow, but came back to demolish a 6-3 team. I think they jump Washington. How does the committee view the ACC? Does Clemson get plastered? Does Michigan get penalized for a close game against an unranked team like we did?

This week will show how their prejudices lay.

IMO Michigan should have already been penalized for only playing their third road game of the season, but it's obvious they don't see it that way.

IMO the committee wants 2 teams from a conference in. TAMU being at 8 is proof proof of that. If not the SEC, they want two B1G teams in.

I have a bad feeling that the committee would prefer a 2 loss B1G team (OSU or Mich) over a 1 loss ACC team.

There you go. Michigan just lost to a 5-4 team. 2, 3 and 4 lost. Will they get penalized the same way Clemson will?

Because anytime one of the B1G or SEC favorites lose they replace them with somebody else in their conference. Texas A&M is a perfect example of favoritism by the pollsters. They lose to Alabama ( understandable) and then they lose badly to an awful Miss St team and they put them at 8th. They were still in a position to move into the Final Four.

Today they lost to a mediocre Ole Miss team so I think they are finally done. Now that Michigan lost to a bad team they will more than likely lose again so they will be out. Right away the talk shifts to Penn State.

I'm not sure why you think that's the case. Wisconsin and Penn St are already behind the 1-loss teams at it is.

Apparently you've spent too much time in the ACC and are unaware of the bias in college football. The media is all about the SEC and B1G. If the committee acts the same, it will be all about why those teams are more deserving than a 1 loss ACC team. OSU or Michigan is going to be a 2 loss team because they still have to play each other. There will be a nasty argument over how that 2 loss team deserves to be in the playoffs over a 1 loss ACC team.

The current poll contradicts your argument. Wisconsin and Penn St are currently ranked behind Louisville---an ACC team. If Wisconsin & Penn St haven't jumped Louisville, then logically they aren't jumping Clemson, with the same record.

Ohio State jumped of over Louisville why would you think other B1G or SEC teams wouldn't jump over Louisville or Clemson?

This is why Penn State will be the talk, if Ohio State beats Michigan, Penn State goes to the big10 championship game.

Because Ohio St and Louisville have the same record. Wisconsin & Penn St don't. Big difference.

And I'll say it again. Wisconsin and Penn St aren't ahead of Louisville now. If the committee wanted Wisconsin and Penn ST ahead of Louisville, they would have done it already.

after tonight, if we do not check in at #3 we are toast, and need to make reservations for the orange bowl.

I don't know about that Beasley. We just have to finish strong. Just about everything we NEEDED to happen, happened. Of course it wouldn't hurt if Washington took another L. The BIG is a mess now. I'm not sure how they will spin it. Also as crazy as it sounds keep your eye on 2 loss Oklahoma creeping back into the picture.

This playoff thing is a lot of fun to speculate over when the Cardinals are a part of the speculation!

The Cardinals played about as bad as I've seen them play this season and they STILL put up 44 in a rout of a decent football team. The next game is THE game of the year to date. Houston is going to be hungry and they're very capable of ripping our dreams of the playoffs right out of our hearts.

We MUST win that game BIG then destroy UofK in the last regular season game. We do those 2 things, it won't matter what the other teams do. We'll be in IMO.

The worst case scenario would be OSU wins out and penn st wins out. This would be disastrous because there would be a 2 loss big 10 champion and a big 10 team with 1 loss that played a better nonconference schedule than us. The best thing we can hope for is Michigan to win out. Then they are the only big 10 team "in". We also need WSU to win the PAC 12 eliminating that conference from contenruin. The committee loves conference champions, and if Penn st, Washington, and Ohio st win out, along with Clemson, the final polls could have us at 6.
1. Bama
2. OSU
3. Clemson
4. Washington or Penn st
5. Penn st or Washington
6.The Good guys

if we are lower than 3 come tuesday, prepare for the orange bowl.

The talking heads at ESPN have spoken, and it's just as biased as I thought it would be:

1. Bama
2. Ohio State
3. Michigan (even though they lost to a 5-4 team last night in what was only their 3rd road game of the season.
4. Clemson.

Like I said in the beginning of this post, they want 2 B1G teams. UofL loses to #4 on the road and plays road games. Michigan loses to a 5-4 team in only their 3rd road game of season.

The only question I have right now is, how far will Clemson drop? I doubt the Ville will get ahead of them due to our loss to them but it may happen. I do expect the CARDS to be in the top four.

I want to know how far Michigan will drop. They only play 4 road games all season. Lost one of them to a 5-4 team.

We will be #5. It will be OSU, Mich, & Clemson behind Bama.

We really need Michigan to win out, and Washington to get beat. Otherwise, I think we're out. This committee obviously values SOS very highly, and we just don't have it.

I am not sure I agree. If you mean Tuesday night, it is possible. But that certainly won't be the final rankings as the loser of OSU/Michigan is out altogether.

I do agree with the previous post that if OSU and Penn State win out UL is doomed. The other scenario you have to worry about is WVU winning out and Oklahoma State losing to anyone (both of which are quite possible).
