I always read KSR, occasionally post there (in a respectable manner and have never been banned), but I usually don't bring what someone says over there to here. However............. This one is just too delusional to pass up.

New If the Cats continue this run they're on, and make it to Atlanta and win a rematch with Alabama, what would have to happen for UK to make the playoff?

Don't see how the SEC champ could be left out.

In defense of the rest of the members there, they all politely told him no. LOL

They talk the same crap every year.
Theyll finish 6-7

Losing to GA, Tenn, UofL, and whoever they play in their decrepit bowl.
Then theyll predict 9-3, 10-2 SEC East champs for next season. Also predicting
to beat UofL, UF, Tenn

Blah blah blah blah
wash, rinse, repeat.

Just to bring some stats into the discussion, here's the Sagarin ratings of UK's wins:

167 New Mexico State
74 South Carolina
70 Vanderbilt
54 Mississippi State
71 Missouri

Below are the Sagarin ratings for UK's future opponents:

55 Georgia
22 Tennessee
229 Austin Peay
7 Louisville

And UK's rating:
67 Kentucky

You can say going to a Bowl is an improvement, but I just haven't seen any real improvement with UK's team.

Their coaching is highly suspect as is their player development.

Disclaimer - I didn't watch any of the Missouri game because our game was on at the same time. Maybe I missed the metamorphosis?

A lot of teams in the SEC are having bad years and UK has capitalized on that. Have they improved? I'll have to see them beat some good teams and have a few years of good records before I'll believe it.

Sad thing is they have acquired wins against teams that happen to be worse than themselves haven't beat one team with a winning record. Fools gold.

You have to give some credit where it's due...I'm not sure that Kentucky has gotten five wins in SEC league play since...maybe 1977 when they went 6-0 in the SEC? In that context things are probably pretty exciting over in Lexington. A split with Tennessee and Georgia gives them 5.

Load the box and force them to pass. A pretty easy gameplan.

IF you have a defense, which excludes most of the teams they've played.

Boom Williams has that "home run" speed you like in a feature back. If he was a better blocker and more durable, he would be considered one of the best backs in college football. Benny Snell has been a revelation - he's built like a fullback with really powerful legs, but he's not slow by any means.

Like UofL, the U.K. Offense has has some problems with fumbles - they are tied with us, Duke, and Virginia Tech for last in the FBS in fumbles lost with 12. They are bad in turnover margin (125th at minus 11: 20 TOs lost to only 9 gained).

The QB Johnson has improved since the bye week. His throwing motion needs some work, though (he throws it sidearm sometimes, making it easy to knock down) and I do think that UofL will do some things disguising coverages that will bother him.

What staggers me about our turnovers is the sheer volume where there was no contact, and the one between the botched exchange with Lamar and Smith was par for the course. Heck we had a fumble caused by a lineman's butt knocking a ball loose against Clemson.

Oh I give them credit. They are much improved from the beginning of the season, no doubt about that. However, I don't think they're quite in a position to run the table with wins at UofL and over Bama in the SEC CC game.
