I think this is VJs year, but I see Jordan Nwora being our go to scorer. Thoughts?

VJ needs to be that break through guy imo, for the team to really move forward. We know what some of these other players like Sutton, Nwora, and Perry can do. We've yet to solve the mystery of VJ King.

He may be the player with the most upside at the next level. He certainly is built for it. But what about this young man's game? Nobody is certain if he even remotely has the game to reach that upside. It's time to get it done for the team.

And I'm not talking about chucking up more shots. I'm talking about becoming a physical presence on the court, making others around him better by sharing the rock. I'm curious to see if his understanding of the game has caught up with his physical abilities.

I hope so, his strength and conditioning in the off-season has been noticeable, I hope with the new coaching staff that his handles improve, court vision, and confidence exponentially improves. Like you stated, he has so much upside, just needs to utilize it.

We need great guard play so I'm hoping Perry has a break out year. VJ King has the talent for the break out, so maybe he finally figures it out.
Perry looks like he’s improved his handles a great deal, and his court vision has gotten extremely better.

Perry could be one the better pure points to play since Siva. I say could because he too falls in love with the shot a bit often. He's one that will have to understand his role as THE guy that distributes the ball on a regular basis.

They’ll all be better. IMO the biggest hire Coach Mack made was getting the strength coach from WVU. With added bulk and muscle you’ll see a more confident, physical and tougher team. Every player will benefit.

I’d really grown tired of seeing us get pushed around, ready for some physical, in your face basketball. I can’t wait!

Same, our guys were conditioned before, but rail thin, it’ll be refreshing to see them drive into the lane, and post up bigger defenders.

I agree with this and have heard Enoch has some strength. I've yet to see him.

I was blown away with VJ at Lou Live, he has put on 10-15 pound muscle easy.

I think several guys have to step up for this team to make the tourney. VJ, Sutton, Nwora, and Perry are must-haves and Enoch and Cunningham will be key for us being competitive in the 15 ranked games we'll play this year. The schedule is BRUTAL!
