:p Yeah...it's clickbait. Just something I came across from 2011. I won't supply the link, but here is the content of the article:

December 27, 2011

Rick Pitino is taking the guesswork out of when he's going to retire as head coach of Louisville's basketball team.

According to CBS Sports' Evan Hilbert, Pitino said, “When you're 59, you're realistic that you don't have a lot of years left. My contract runs out in 2017—I'm not coaching anymore after that.”

Pitino has made it seem like he would be a lifer in the coaching world, but this is a far more realistic end point to the legendary coach's career.

This still gives Louisville fans five solid seasons with Pitino and plenty of time before they need to start worrying about Pitino's successor.

I don't think you have to go back five years to find Maddie Bangs saying mostly the same thing. Of course, he's smarter than most.

:D

"Elite program," my a$$...

Probably not he's getting up there, but you never know. A contract like that or any past 4 years does offer some good utilities for recruiting though. Not to many H.S. seniors want to commit to a guy with 2 or 3 years left on a contract I.e. Tom "Clappy" Cream
