But I just had a conversation with someone very close to the program, and this is as fired up as I've seen/heard this staff.

On Pierce Clarkson specifically, I would say the interest from the Clarkson side in Louisville is legitimate, and very real.
Pete Thomas has a really good relationship with Clarkson's camp, and if I had to make a FutureCast for Clarkson right now, it would be for Louisville.
I'm not guaranteeing that Pierce Clarkson will commit to Louisville, but what I am saying is that Louisville will be a major factor in this recruitment all the way to the end. I'm confident in that.
This staff really likes where they stand with him, and I think fans should take the approach that Louisville has a shot no matter what big schools end up entering the picture.
