Penny Hardaway at Memphis

Anybody see the absolute joke of officiating in the Tennessee/Memphis game? Memphis players were flopping all over the place and several times the refs bought it. It was unreal.

Rick Barnes called Memphis out after the game and Hardaway told him to get the f_ck out of here. Watching the video it was so obvious that in the NBA there would be fines all over the place.

The officiating this season is the worse I've ever seen.

I agree with the fact that the officiating has been really bad. I don't watch Memphis basketball but so far the results for Hardaway don't look good. If he doesn't start producing with wins WWW won't be sending players his way much longer.

To me it’s not unlike the risk that Jeff Brohm would have endured if he became our football coach. Local hometown hero brought in to resurrect the program. However, as people point out, it’s a lot easier to rebuild a basketball program. Penny has fan support now...

If they are dumb enough to play for Penny, good riddance. So far he has exactly one recruit we wanted. Jefferies doesn't count. He was recruited over before he ever got to Lexington.

If you have read the majority of the posts, there is still a question as to whether Brohm is a proven HC, at least in terms of P5 teams. Yeah he’s the HC. What he does with Purdue in the next 3-4 years will seal the deal whether he’s proven. He’s 13-12 right now. If he loses to Auburn, he’ll finish with a losing record this year...

That flopping garbage works at Duke. I guess Penny is trying to see if he can get by with it like Duke does. Flopping doesn't prepare players to play defense at an NBA level, but it works in college.

You have got to be kidding. Have you ever watched a game at co-rupt arena either live or on TV? Jeeze uahkay get’s away with murder. The cayuts have the best home floor officiating advantage in ALL of college basketball. Our guys had two fouls on them before the game ever got started. You can bitch and moan all you want to but Hardaway has just made calisleazy his bioch PLUS he now has WWW on his side. See how the “high bidder” works in college basketball.
