Memphis is reportedly facing four Level I and two Level II NCAA violations stemming from an 18-month investigation into the Tigers' men's basketball program.

Memphis head coach Penny Hardaway is the only person named in the notice of allegations, according to the report. It says Hardaway was involved in at least one of the Level I violations and the two Level II violations. The NCAA alleges Hardaway "failed to demonstrate that he promoted an atmosphere of compliance within the men's basketball program."

This about the moving expense i believe

There’s zero chance KP runs a non compliant program. There’s so much oversight now, someone has a better chance at stealing gold from Fort Knox. But KP, like Penny when he was hired, has no experience in running a team. Mistakes can be made. That’s why his assistants need to be top tier, been around, seen a thing or two.

Rollie Massamino was the one who said it first (just kidding…thought it was funny we are three coaches deep on who said it). Btw…according to a google search it looks like Tark said it.
Speaking of Tark, I’ve been watching Winning Time, the series about the rise of the Lakers. Really, really good. I had no idea Tark was almost LA’s coach. Crazy story why he wasn’t.

KP may not have been a head coach but unlike Penny KP has spent the majority of his career in the college game, so he’s much more prepared than Penny was. My questions about KP was related to calling games (X & O’s) not running the program. Penny had zero experience doing either.

The most frustrating thing about the NCAA is when schools cooperate and take swift action are punished harder than schools that keep coaches and do nothing. They are encouraging people to cheat and fight. It is a stupid business practice.

Just ask Kansas and North Carolina, among others.
