A huge "CONGRATULATIONS" to Payton Verhulst for being named to the McDonald's All-American squad. The 6'1" guard from Bishop Miege High School is having a fantastic season for the 17-1 Stags and comes to Louisville for the 2021-22 season as the #4 ranked player at her position and #12 overall in the ESPNW rankings.

A great young woman, with caring parents and incredible skills. Can't wait for her to add her talents to Louisville WBB next year!

Have you heard d anything about Kennedy Basham?

I like Peyton’s game she is tall guard with great defensive skills along with her offensive skills. Another player coming in who actually jumps when she rebounds and blocks shots.

Sorry about this "Cosmos", but you should make an effort to spell a person's name correctly: PAYTON.

They are a big school playing competition in the upper division on the high school level. Payton played on the USA National team and helped win the gold medal, she was voted as the Tournament MVP.

Seems like the only criticism that Jeff and this Women’s basketball team gets is insufficient recruiting interior BIGS. It takes great guard play to reach the level we enjoy, and it’s Dana, Asia and girls like Payton that pave the way for high level success. I would not trade Payton in for an Aircraft Carrier (apologies to Al Mcquire) at all.

Jeff can still add a BIG without changing Payton one bit.

A 6’5” shot blocker in the next class helps. Olivia will continue to develop as well and could play the 4 IMO. Liz has really improved since last season. She can also alter and block shots. Both of our current 5s just (again my opinion) need to be more aggressive and on the boards.
