papa John is stepping down as CEO of the company. He will stay on as chairman. Sales have declined about 30% this year attributed to the NFL controversy with kneeling players.

Attributed to the exposure of him treating his workers like crap, his crapping where he eats (UofL ), his crappy pizza and his crappy commercials with his ugly mug splattered like exploding crap all over the TV screen.

Actually, Papa attributes the NFL controversy with declining sales. Whether or not that's the actual case remains to be seen. However, since his comments were made, and white supremacists cheered, sales are down even further- 13%. When your company is losing money, and your leader sucks at his job, yes, time for a change.
His boat was taking on water before the NFL stuff. Convenient excuse for incompetent management. Needs to spend more time in his Camaro...
Having worked through out my life...in college...or part time to earn extra money...PJ's has always try to display a positive image to the public...I totally disagree. The down fall of the company was when they started charging for delivery. Even they say is not for the driver...the customers believe it's for the driver and won't tip the driver. Their per delivery date in 2012 was around $2 25...that's what goes to the driver...plus tips. They have no regard for their employees...have shotty managers that don't know what they are doing....and 50% of the personnel are high on drugs on the clock. Papa John can only blame himself they his company is run. However, I agree with the NFL issue...fans don't watch for political pc bs. Don't watch...which no eating...which means no ordering pizza from PJ's. Its just that simple.
Papa is a tool, this might just be sour grapes but. I used to work at PJ's foodservice around 2005 to 2006.we supplied the stores with everything and we made and shipped the dough. They had this big pep rally for the all the people on the corporate with the U OF L football team, coaches, Cheerleaders, and the Band. I think Tom might have been there to. Anyway our two buildings are connected by hallways but the people on the production side was not invited. But when they gave him his Camero back they made us stop work and come over to the corporate side so we could all come kiss his a$$.
