Our O-line worries me

From what I understand, our newly rebuilt offensive line has good size and lots of upside, but I am worried about them. They are the key to giving CBP's offense the time they will need to make plays. My biggest concern is not so much that they are new, but the newness may lead to drive killing penalties for motion, procedure and holding. Some of this is to be expected in a big opening game but I the glimmer of hope I hold on to is the reputation of this coaching staff to coach up talent and get them ready to perform. If this is in fact the case, I'm feeling very good about the rest of the team and the outcome of this game.

It's the unknown that worries you. I mean, we're not even sure who's starting yet. But, here's the thing- last year the OL was adjusting to a new offense, new techniques. This year, they'll likely have a better grasp of what's going on and what to do. Some young guys may be asked to do more than they are ready for, but it's Petrino. The offense is going to be fine.

No worries gere. We will be fine. My concern is 4th quarter depth and keeping everybody fresh. We need a slow pace and a solid run game to eat clock.

6 "veterans" to 4 "newcomers" ... Tobijah Hughley, Aaron Epps, Pedro Sibiea, Lukayus McNeil, Skylar Lacey and Kelby Johnson have all been through two seasons with the Petrino/Klenakis program. Hughley, Epps, Sibiea, and Lacey have been through two springs and two fall camps, while Johnson and McNeil have been through one spring and two fall camps.

The four new players in the depth chart are: Khalil Hunter, Geron Christian, Kenny Thomas, and Kiola Mahoni. Hunter had the advantage of spring ball, while the others did not get here until June.

if the O line doesn't open holes for the running game gonna be a long day. I look at which team has the least room for era , that will win. I think we know what we have on defense, Running game and Qb play. But that O line all those things we know about ourselves holds true for Auburn but i think they have a better seasoned line.
