Our D deserves better

I said sorry. Keep your head up guys. Go team! In all seriousness what positives are you taking from this?

Offense was moving the ball until the bad handoff and fumble return. Simple, stupid execution failures are beating us. There's not that much difference between these two team. We've had the ball inside the Auburn red zone twice and have come up empty both times (2nd resulting in an AU TD). This has to be driving Petrino nuts.

TB was moving the team. CBPs explanation that he was "tired" on the last drive doesn't make sense. Not sure why they went with Jackson.

You are a seriously horrible fan today. Stop all the extreme negative posting if you want to keep posting today.
This is the only rivals board where I read censorship in action. You're really going to use your power to ban him for voicing an opinion?

That's messed up.

He had a legit complaint.

My advice is realize some true fans are going to post out of emotion. Be glad they post.

You don't wanna know what I said when we through a pick into triple coverage on the first play of the game! But I didn't go on here and post it. You have to learn to control your emotions. We don't bash our teams on here!

Same here. That first play really set the tone for the entire first half IMO and I was furious about it. The last thing I needed to do was come on to the internet and wear my emotions on my sleeve. I'm confident Steelers would have been forced to ban me yesterday because I was so PO'ed I was seeing red. FWIW, I make it a point to ban myself until the next day after a loss for 2 reasons. 1, to have the time to calm down, and 2, so I don't have to deal with the slapdick trolls.

So what someone says/posts during a game good, bad, emotional or otherwise really bothers some of you that much? Very strange. We were stinking it up big time; I was venting (as well as speaking the truth). What's different than what every damn one of you was doing on your couch, in the bar, at your buddy's game watch party, just because it's on a message board? My goodness, it's sports. We're guys (mostly). That's what we do. Respectfully, Steeler was being a tad thin skinned.

Actually "support your team" guy is pretty much just a casual fan-type. Again, die hards vent, criticize and call things like they are. This is akin to a sports bar type setting. No one likes "rah-rah-rah, go team go" guy. They generally are casual viewers who aren't really that invested in games.

Steelers, this guy needs a serious time out. I for one am tired of his posts.

Are you seriously that bothered by what someone says on a forum that isn't even about you? Good grief! How can anonymous, venting about a sports contest get in your head so much?

Than this $hitshow of an offense

Let's see 'super fan'

First game
true sophomore coming off injury, followed by a true freshman at the QB spot
Three new offensive lineman.
1 returning WR
and a number 6 team , who wasnt going to lay down.
That so called crappy offense scored 24 points. Left 10 points on the field.

Get over yourself-

Theres nothing wrong with being upset at the way the first half went. Man you got to be crazy to not be happy about the emergence of Lamar Jackson. His play and the way he carried us by far outweigh the bad first half.

But maybe im too casual and just not fan enough. Op, teach me how to reach diehard status lol.

And it was a $hitshow in the 1st half. Get over YOURSELF. Oh and Auburn is not the #6 team in the country. As the season plays out that will be obvious. Probably a 4-5 loss team.

Lockdown where did I say I wasn't pleased with LJ? In fact I gave credit to the team for not rolling over. We still lost and there's all the sudden a lot of talk that gets very close to moral victory crap that we make fun of the $lapdicks for. Yes some things to build on but there's still a whole lot of areas of concern.

Its no moral victory talk. Make no mistake about that. What fans are optimistic about it alot of our unknowns has been figured out and as concerned fans we can finally move forward in this new era of Petrino football. We have a great qb in Jackson for the next three years and a great defense. Sorry if that seems like moral victory celebrations. Just enjoy it!!

There's a huge difference, and don't let one of your slapd!ck friends tell you otherwise.

They have very few actual victories. Moral victories are most of what they reflect on. In our case, we have real victories along with an occasional loss. A moral victory every once in awhile is allowed.

It's still a loss, but it's better than most of LPT's losses to SEC teams. We belong on the field with all of those teams, and they can't usually say that...

I'm optimistic. We've got to avoid injuries to key positions and if we can, we're going to have a very good football team to support.

Perhaps I may honestly be more impressed with our true freshmen recieving core more than Jackson. Those guys playing on a huge national stage in their first collegiate game played like veterans, making crucial catches in crucial 3rd and 4rd down situations. The way our frosh WR's ran those routes were damn near perfect. Keep in mind we didn't play a lesser cupcake oppent.
