OT: Adam Hadwin

Former UofL golfer Adam Hadwin won the PGA tour's Valspar Championship today. He's missed a couple of opportunities this season where he was in contention late, but he finished it out with a one-shot win today.

Yeah, Derek's had an up and down year so far. Mostly down, although he did lead the Honda Classic for a short spell. He's played 11 events this season, and has made just 5 cuts. Hadwin almost gave it away on 17 after putting like a champion all weekend. Glad he held on.

Fathauer has put together several good first and second rounds the past few years but always seems to fade over the weekend.

I've been waiting for another Canadian player to emerge since Mike Weir fell apart - Hearn and DeLaet have been decent, but Hadwin has all the makings of a guy who will win multiple times on tour. Happy for him to break through on the big stage - kudos to his coaches and teammates at U of L who helped shape him into the player he is today.
