I know that we're going to play teams like Perdue, Alabama, Notre Dame and Indiana to name a few in the upcoming years, and I'm really excited for these upcoming games. Who else would/do you want Tom Jurich to try sign to play against either home and home or a 1 time deal? (like Alabama for now)

For me, I wouldn't mind in the least if Jurich can get a game w/Tennessee.

I'd love to play the best programs from other leagues. Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State, Oklahoma, Stanford, Oregon, USC, Tennessee, Georgia, LSU... Of course, not all in the same year!

Just in the next 4 years following the upcoming 2016 season, the Cards are scheduled to play Purdue, Alabama, Notre Dame (twice), and Kentucky (4 times). So that makes an average of ten P5 games per season (2 non-ACC + 8 ACC). The Cards have room for one more P5 game in both 2019 and 2020.

Though I personally wish we would play an occasional opponent from the West, TJ has indicated that's not in his/our plans.

The closest conference that we've had the least number of games with is the Big Ten.

Given TJ's reluctance to play PAC12 and B12 games, and also the fact that the SEC doesn't ever want to play anyone credible out of conference (unless it's an arranged-by-TV game), I suspect we are relegated to hoping for an occasional Big Ten game.

If we can get it rolling again (string together several 10-2, 11-1 seasons), ESPN may come calling for another set-up game or two. I also think TJ enjoys using the extra money on his coaches, that you get when playing these high-payday neutral network-arranged games.

Our schedule is so much better than it was for 30 years that I'm going to enjoy what we have scheduled.

Anything else is gravy to me. ;)

WKU, Cincinnati, Kentucky and an elite team. That would be an awesome OOC rivalry line up.

The only reason why I didn't name WKU and Cincy is cause they're not a part of a P5 conference in the next few years that's what the playoff committee will look at, the OOC schedule for teams, trust me I know both teams would love that.

How can you include LPT in a list of "power" five teams and keep a straight face?

:)

LPT Football: Even we laughed at that one...

Just curious, why do they call us Otis? What's that mean?

At one point Coach Calipari was being dismissive of UofL, even saying UK doesn't have any in-state competition. He didn't want to SAY Louisville, so he said that "Other Team In the State". UK fans picked up on this and began calling us OTIS for short.

I I agree. Hedley. And though they are certainly not an elite team, I would like to see IU on the schedule every year. Selfish reasons; my wife and I love to travel to away games, and these four would be decent competition at very easy driving distance(s).

Well I guess TJ also wants to see IU on the Cards' schedule as often as possible, despite the fact they are are among the WORST teams in the P5. You are in good company. TJ is with you!

What would you all think if TJ could schedule a game w/Michigan? I'm not saying that we will, just asking what would you all think if TJ could ever do that.

I think it would be fantastic. All for it! Not holding my breath. The Big Ten schools now all play 9 Big Ten conference games. About the only way it would ever work is if somebody set up a made-for-TV game.

I wish TJ had thought of putting it Strong's contract that if he left, his new team would be obligated to play a home and away series. Getting a shot at Texas would be fun.
