The whistles just don't blow when Baylor's big men go over the back or run into Cards big men. This entire tournament has been a total foul fest on the Cards big men. It's a wonder the Cards have won two games and maybe a third.

After the Bears got it under 10, he stayed with the zone too long and Madsdon torched us, but the real reason is Q and Mitchell had to play way too many minutes and their legs wore out. I'm not one to blame individual players but Adel didn't show up.

PS - I'm not blaming officials either. Baylor wasn't even in the bonus at the end.

This loss is just another typical Louisville Cardinals early season defeat. A combination of bad play (The two consecutive turnovers for breakaway layups), bad luck, (Shots rolling around the rim and coming out & the loose balls ending up in Baylor's hands), bad call by the refs (Foul on Mangok) and 70 percent shooting by the other team after they couldn't hit shit.

Unlike football though, these losses in hoops don't kill you or even wound you. Yes it sucks to have lead the game for 35 minutes and lose but we have all kinds of opportunities to make up for this loss. This game though very different, feels a lot like last years loss to Michigan State. The basketball Gods just don't favor UofL in these early games against ranked teams. But there's a lot of issues on this team. Deng Adel is not doing what everyone expected he would do. I wanted VJ King in the game when the game was tied. His shooting is much better than Adel and I knew Adel would get some key shots. I still wonder if that ballroom had a effect on our guys because they are not that bad of shooters. Mitchell and Snider are our best option and they still miss three times more than they make.

It's a good thing we have a lot of depth because our big men are constantly being called for fouls. Even in the 1st half where we were doing everything right getting that 22 point lead, we still had five more fouls called on us than Baylor. Just more of the same with Louisville basketball.

I'll say it 1,000 times between now and the next game on Tuesday.

Its not the loss, its how they lost. Blowing a 22 point lead and getting nothing
from your front court players is pathetic.

3 games in 3 days will tax your roster for sure. I though levich played ok but there really isn't a great option yet as Hicks has played really poorly. During Baylor's run it was pick your poison - M2M was ineffective as well. Stopping getting hoops didn't help.
