The Cards were once again buoyed by Snider and Mitchell, and they were the leading scorers.

Mitchell had a terrible start with shooting but, once again, made some clutch shots when it mattered most. I'm glad he doesn't seem to lose confidence in himself despite the really slow starts he has sometimes. He also seems to have become a vocal leader out on the floor. The team seems to feed off of his tenacity and energy.

Snider didn't have a great shooting night either but hit a couple of big shots and was fairly steady otherwise with 14 pts.

Matz looked good. Mango just needs to get in the flow, slow down a bit.As far as the op,it's a guard's game.I like it.

I hope you guys will get past the bigs situation that I keep seeing here. Honestly, this group of guards and wings will determine the season. Our bigs will be up and down all season.Hope they keep getting better, but college basketball is about the little guys.

Mitchell had/has some type of infection? Not real sure exactly what I heard when Paul Rogers said it during the Old Dominion game but I thought he said something like that. Anyone know for sure?

Regarding the game yesterday, I thought player movement off the ball was much better compared to the game with ODU, and Anas had a great defensive game. He created havoc and made things real tough inside for Wichita State. Overall I would give the performance a B-, but an A+ for effort.

This will be a good learning experience and help the team grow. The schedule is going to get stronger as the season unfolds. The ACC schedule is going to be brutal.

One thing we are not taking into account about the bigs. They are the rim protectors that CRP has always wanted at the back end of the defense. Anas had 6 blocks. If they can do that any offense they provide is icing on the cake.

Matz is horrible. He belongs in Division 3.

Mangok......ummm is just a body. No discernable skills.

Anas is the man, just needs 20-30 pounds. No more home visits !

JJ is the best rebounder. Just needs to avoid foul trouble.

Ray, once he realizes he has NBA, he should take off.

Mitchell struggled yesterday with his shot, I thought his main problem was that most of them were too far out. The announcer mentioned that they are working with Mitchell on his shot and trying to improve on his long range shot. When Mitchell moves closer to the basket his jump shot is really nice and accurate.
