Ohio st vs NC

I don’t think they destroyed us that’s a little bit of an exaggeration. Scrimmage games are hard to tell how good a team is we don’t know if it was ran like a regular game or if it as a stop and go situation where you practice certain plays. The team mentality is also different in a scrimmage game there is not a since of urgency you are more relaxed. However OSU looks good they are very physical but UNC is also readjusting since they lost so many players and they are only down by 2 at half. If I had to pick 2 teams to make it to the FF it would be Louisville and OSU but it is still early.

Asked what he learned from the secret scrimmage, Mack was succinct: "We got our ass kicked."

Mack’s comment is open for interpretation but he is a coach who always respects his competition. Since I didn’t watch the game and neither did you it would be hard to say how the team looked. OSU looks really good a team you don’t want to play in the tournament until the end.

That being said I would like our chances against them or anyone else. The trick for all these good coaches is to not let your team peak to early. The UNC vs OSU is really hard to judge. Roy Williams pulled his starters at the 10 minute mark and put the bench in who looked really good against OSU. Then he put his starters back in who looked bad. UNC has a lot of work to do they lost too much last year.

Really what was the final score, what players did not play, what was the foul situation. What was the shooting percentage of both teams, who had the most rebounds? Answer these questions for me so I can determine how bad the scrimmage was. I like CCM he is smart he makes a lot of comments that does not give his opponents chalkboard material. There is a good chance we play OSU in the tournament maybe the FF or hopefully the title game. The OSU coach won’t be able to use comments by CCM against him because he complimented them instead of trashing them he’s a smart guy.

we also had 2 of our key players out

My takeaways:

1. Ohio State has a top Xs Os coach in the nation
2. UNC really just isn’t that good of a team. They’ve been blown out twice in 2 weeks.
3. With Texas Tech’s loss last night, that’s another win I think we take
4. Virginia is awful this year too.
5. I think even if we lose at Rupp, we’re goin to run through the ACC and get a 1 seed.

Louisville was
The scrimmage was secret. The result, not so much. When Ohio State visited Louisville last Sunday, the score that drifted out of the KFC Yum! Center was Buckeyes 80, Cardinals 69.

Schools aren’t allowed to publicize these scrimmages. No stats are allowed to be disseminated, though apparently programs can tweet out video from the scrimmage. We do know this tidbit, however, thanks to discussion at Friday’s U of L basketball media day: The Cards trailed by 20 at half.
without Malik Williams and freshman David Johnson. Ohio State was without Justin Ahrens, and freshman guard D.J. Carton injured an ankle during the first half and was out for the rest of the game.

.

I saw all this posted earlier when the scrimmage game was first played and it was also posted that OSU also beat Gonzaga. I was wondering though since you weren’t at the game and neither was the media where did you get this information from? I also watched the OSU vs UNC game and I am impressed with OSU but not that game. UNC looks really bad right now, so bad that coach Roy pulled all the starters out twice. OSU played 7 minutes against scrubs and didn’t increase their lead as a matter of fact they lost ground.

Well it;s obvious you didnt watch one bit of the game last nite because OSU was up by as many as 15 -16 points in the first half. And maybe you should write Eric Crawford and ask him the media man how he got that info since he wasn't their either. I copied and pasted. his words. You claim to have read this prior . Whatever .

I watched the whole game between OSU vs UNC and I wasn’t impressed with OSU beating a severely thinned out UNC team. No offense to you but regarding this game you sound like a sUcK fan living on the past. UNC has a great history and a long tradition in basketball but the past is the past and presently they don’t have a god team. Roy Williams is a great coach and he might be able to take this team and make them very competitive by the end of the season but as of right now they aren’t competitive.
Like I said I think OSU is a top team and as of right now they are a title contender along with Louisville. I just can’t judge how a game between Louisville vs OSU would end up if we played in the tournament. This is early in the season and a lot could happen like peaking to early or losing your star player for the season due to injury. Hopefully both teams will end the season the way they have started and they will play each other and we can continue this conversation when that happens. Go Cards!!!

Well if everyone remembers we played that scrimmage against OSU without very much of an inside presence. Malik Williams did not play at all and Enoch’s played very sparingly. If everyone can remember at the beginning of the season Enoch’s played a whole lot less than what he is playing now.
