Officiall Houston Congrats Thread

Nice thread. They've only had a couple posters stop by.

They deserved the win. Less mistakes by a pretty wide margin. They controlled the ball what felt like the entire game. They were more focused, much more organized.

I won't go as far as to say it meant more to them, but they seemed to play with more spirit - and that's probably because they were playing better and knew they could win. Also, we are the marquee opponent on their schedule.

Doubt we see anymore of their fans.

They wont do a University of Crap Florida, style invasion.

UH earned the win.

Your team played great. Looked like they wanted it more. Tried to find a open board on a Cougars site but couldn't. Good luck the rest of the year.

Congratulation's are in order! You came into a hostile environment and...WON! Tradition says you should have lost but you didn't! Great quarterback and players. It won't be long and you will be in the mB-12!

Houston does deserve congratulations. They took what was given to them and made the most of it. They have a great QB and, judging from just one game, a great head coach.

I hope you win the rest of your games this year.

Nice thread. And yes they were the better team yesterday. Congratulations to them and good luck the rest of the year!

I was impressed by the hard nose players that wanted to win and their superior special teams play. They wanted the win more than we did!

Houston is the better team....beat us straight up...congrats to them and hopefully we will get them next year in Houston.

I agree with the OP. The Houston Cougars kicked the ever living crap out of the Cards and earned the win from the opening kick to the final horn. I wish the Cards had given a better effort, but it was clear to me that on the 12th of September, 2015, UH was the best football team in PJCS.

No excuses from me. The better football team won. It caused me to stay away from this board for over 24 hours until I accepted the loss though. I was pretty PO'ed with the effort the Cardinals gave as a team, and that includes the coaching staff.

Come on, 2 late holding calls and a freaking blown contain on special teams and we beat these guys by 10. I give credit where credit is due, but we beat ourselves, again, with all the mistakes. They have a great scatback qb and a solid oline. We made a ton of mistakes, just like the AU game. Its that simple. Clean up the errors, and we run these guys. Congrats to them, but a whole thread? Geez, whatever.

It's all about showing sportsmanship. UH played well and the Cards did not. UH deserved to win. The Cards did not. UH made the plays they needed to make in order to earn the win. The Cardinals DID NOT. We did make a ton of mistakes, just like the AU game which means the issues are fixable, but that in no way takes away from what UH did. They came, they saw, and they kicked our ass. End of story.

We committed the holding and we blew the contain on the kickoff. That was us. We are what you've seen the first two games, and that is: not as good as Auburn and not as good as Houston.

Congratulations to Houston for being the better team and coming into PJCS and proving it last Saturday.

Thanks Card fans. I drove from Houston with a buddy and had a great weekend in Louisville. BTW I was also in Albuquerque in 1983 and saw the greatest final four game in history. Hope many card fans come down o Houston next season and drop by our tailgate. This was my second trip up to Papa johns.

Yes we won the game but your team scared the living daylights out of me. If your back up QB started the game there might have been a different out come. Now go beat some Clemson butt and win the ACC. See you next year at our place. Hopefully our stadium has begun construction going from 40,000 to 50,000 seats because have an invite to the Big XII. Good game Cards!

So you two were the UH fans I saw at the game. LoL! Just kidding, but I was hoping to chat with and welcome some UH fans to Louisville, but didn't come across any. That's understandable for such a long trip against a non-conference opponent. Glad you enjoyed your visit and congrats again on the win.

This was my third football trip to Louisville. The first came back in the original CUSA days when you still played in the fairgrounds/baseball stadium. Papa John's Stadium is top notch and your fans are class. Even enjoyed a fireball shot at Coconut Beach (I think that was the name) with two beautiful Louisville coeds after the game.

UH could learn so much from UL. I took a tour of facilities with some UH brass and was blown away. Heck, even your field hockey stadium is stunning. I wish we had 1/10th the support you do. Beat Clemson!

Houston reminded me of us back in the CUSA days. When we'd get a chance at a big shot, we'd make it count.

Shame on us for forgetting our roots.

And congrats to UH for the W.
