Poor coaching on our part. Coaches did not put the players in position to win. No adjustments at all! No screens, option or quick passes to alleviate the blitzing! We continued with the 5 and 7 step drop. It is hard to believe that the number 1 offense in the country doesn't have a quick game in the package.........Unreal!!!!

Just got home from work, settled in, this game just happens to be on...and UH is getting their asses kicked. If our players weren't all concerned where we were ranked in the CFP, what some pundits were saying and focused strictly on Houston, we win, imo.
Herman is leaving the only thing uncertain is if he will go to Texas or LSU. I really thought it would be Texas along with his offensive coordinator who is a former Texas quarterback ( Major Appleby ).
Memphis is not a good team they are average at best. Memphis is playing at home, Houston is probably flat coming off a big win and OUR coaches did not prepare us for the game.

It's not so much if he has decided to go to Texas or LSU, it's the mere fact that it is a distraction to the football players. We should understand that better than most.

Memphis did lose a great quarterback in Paxton Lnych but they are not a young team their quarterback is a junior. They are still an average team if they were better than that they would be ranked and you would hear more about them. Houston is not a good road team and neither are we.
I thought Memphis had a better game plan than what we had and that was throw the ball down field and they did it all game with success. I think you can obviously blame our loss on the coaches with poor game preparation .

I'm not really sure that upset the Coastal. Virginia Tech was in unless they lost to Virginia, regardless of the North Carolina game.
