Of course it had to be a 82 yard fumble TD

Now I blame the Cards for those two TO's but come on with the way the ball bounces. The 1st play of the game was just bone headed but that fumble TD was totally a fluke. Not losing the ball but how it bounced right to the guy for a perfect 80 yard return.

I'm getting so tired of that kind of crap. Okay, there's going to be mistakes, but do they have to leave the other team with easy points? Both of Auburn's TO's didn't leave the Cards with easy points.

It's clear the OL is the issue right now. Two penalties on 1st and goal kept the Cards out of the end zone. If there was ever a year to start the season off with a lesser opponent it was this year.

The fumble wasn't a fluke. I said that. The fluke was the ball bouncing out of a recovery to a player who had a huge running start for the TD. How many times do you see a 82 yard fumble TD?

I think that was the reason Petrino pulled him. He told the reporter when the half ended he put Jackson in because Reggie got tired. I think that was the sanitized answer to the question.

I think Petrino wanted to play Jackson from the start and now down he figures what the hell. I believe this game was always looked at as a see what we got and what we can do. Winning would be a huge bonus.

But still, remove the mistakes it's a totally different score. The Cards have actually out gained the Tigers. It's our mistakes were deadly while theirs were benign.

I thought the clock started after a penalty but a head coach should know for sure. I don't think it would have made a difference anyway. We would have got the ball back with 35 seconds.

Like usual though, it's a fluke play that cost the Cards a big win. That 82 yard fumble TD was the difference. Again I ask anybody. How many times have you seen a 82 yard fumble TD? It takes a perfect bounce of the ball or perfect position of the recovery. 99 percent of the time, Auburn would have just fell on the ball which they tried to do.

I still say Bonnafon was benched because he didn't make an effort to chase down the runner.

I'm not ready to go that route. We obviously need a mobile QB behind this O-line. Any QB who runs as much as it appears Jackson will, is one play away from needing a mobile backup.

RB hasn't got the QB Mentality to LEAD a BP Offense...He's Tooooooooooooooooo SLOW with his decession Making...Thats why he was sacked THREE Times...While a TRUE Freshman got OUT of trouble SEVERAL Times!!!

^^^^^ Watching Reggie's painfully slow decision making was killing me. Didn't matter if he didn't let the ball go to the running back in time or took too long to get the pass out it was giving Auburn's D all kinds of time to read the play. The entire speed of our offense changed dramatically when Jackson took over.

It's the only reason I can see that he brought in Jackson, then started him in the second half. That may have been a costly lapse of effort on Reggie's part. May have unleashed his replacement.

We've got our QB going forward. His name is Lamar Jackson. It's easy to see he has a TON of talent. He'll play in the NFL in a few years barring serious injuries.
