Heard a caller on the "Deener Show" this morning who mentioned in passing that we have coaches wearing Nike shoes. Later in the show Deener asked what the caller meant by that comment and Blankenbaker said that Nolan was the coach on the UofL Basketball Coach's Show this past weekend on Wave 3. On the show he was wearing an Adidas top and pants but was wearing Nike Air Jordan shoes.
I realize this may seem trivial, but as Deener and Blankenbaker said, it's just another example of the lack of attention to detail that appears to be plaguing this staff. When you have a partnership with a brand that is paying the kind of money Adidas is paying and how important shoes are to recruiting in college basketball, it's kind of a big deal.
