Former Florida Gators guard Noah Locke will reportedly transfer to Louisville, according to respected independent reporter Adam Zagoria. Locke's father also shared the news via his Facebook account.

Primarily manning the two-spot, Locke emerged as a three-point specialist during his time with the Gators. The 6-foot-3, 203-pound guard averaged 10.1 points and 2.4 rebounds per game across his 92 appearances, making 79 starts in a Gators uniform. He owns a career three-point shot percentage of 40.3 and set a program freshman record with 81 field goals converted from beyond the arc in 2018-19.

I wonder what that does concerning David Johnson or Carlik Jones decisions? Anyway glad to have him as they say “ bird in hand is better than 2 in the bush”.
Ever since Johnson's game against Duke last year pundits have been touting him for the NBA. Overall, I believe he showed marginal improvement this year. Personally, I believe he needs another year here. Mack can't take a chance with the uncertainty that existed last summer, and needs to fill the spot.

I have been one of DJ's biggest fans, beginning with his time at Trinity. I wish him the very best, as he is a gifted athlete with special basketball skills. However, I agree with flyercard's post; as David has not shown the capacity to be consistent in any single aspect of his game. His TO/Assist ratio, his 3-point shooting and his ability to pull up and shoot the 10-12 foot jump shot are serious concerns, at least as far as his NBA future is concerned.

I do not expect him to return, as a developmental league might better suit his individual needs to prepare for any NBA career. Hope he returns, but that will depend on what he hears from the league.

Don't think DJ was all that comfortable off the ball. I could be wrong. Jones obviously great player. Tough adjustment to go from playing with Perry, Jordan, and Ryan... guys that straddle the 3 pt line... to Jones. Also he could throw it to Enoch and let him go to work. Nobody on last year's team had a post game anything near Enoch. Just different teams that generated different results for DJ. One could argue 2 years ago if there was a post season the Cards could have been very dangerous.

The turnovers hurt. He didn't seem to get better agree with posters above. Assists may have been better if he was surrounded with shooters.

IMO, DJ wasn’t the same ball player as last year. Good points made by Ipartied’s post. I called it the sophomore slump and hoped he would come out of it. Jones was the take charge guy and DJ just seemed to fold into it. Just wanting the best for all.

Even though I think he should return for all the reasons you mentioned, I agree that he’s as good as gone. Not too sure he likes school all that much. Plus he may have an over exaggeration of his skills. Too bad and I truly hope I’m wrong.

GO CARDS!!!

I could not care less about the NBA and nor do I know anything about it other than the draft is all about potential. In my obviously ignorant opinion, it seems a stretch that a guy who can't show an ability to take over on a pretty mediocre college team probably shouldn't be an NBA lottery pick. Not being selfish, not dogging anyone, just using what I believe to be common sense. Based on what we've seen, this seems destined for the bench/D-league/overseas. Maybe that's fine, I hear you can make 6 figures overseas. I feel like I can call this a mile away without really knowing anything about the NBA.

To be fair to DJ, how can you expect a guy to show it when the season is started/stopped twice in an already shortened season? Not to mention he didn't get a full freshman year either.

I think had this been a normal year, DJ would've been ALL-ACC and played his way into a first round guaranteed pick. But you guys underestimate what those pauses did to those guys. It's hard to get into a flow when you're just trying to get back into shape.

I agree the stop and go season really plays on team chemistry. I wasn’t counting wins and losses this year I was just looking for some normalcy to return.

You make some good points here. I've mentioned all season long that I wasn't going to over-react to anything, win or loss-wise, it's just a weird season and hard to judge. Still, I don't think DJ has shown us anything that says lottery pick. If he goes, I wish him the best and hope he tears up the NBA and has his own shoe line. I'm just saying, from my admittedly NBA-ignorant POV, I don't think he has shown anything that says lottery pick.

DJ (2020-21) 60 assists, 61 turnovers - enough said. He’s not ready IMO. But, most people “in the know” think he’s gone.

CardChronicle just posted he is entering the NBA draft. Good luck to the guy, I'd love to be wrong about him as he's a Cardinal and a Louisville native, hope he tears it up and we see him and Donovan on commercials together throwing up L's on the TV screen.
