NIL Deal

Interesting! I don't believe this to be a smart business move period, even if they award one to a UofL player. 18 yr old in a Porsche, come on?????

Here's the scoop i knew Eaves had a relationship with this delearship. So today i listened in on his show knowing he had to talk about it. Well he states he's friends with the owner's and he sold cars their at one point. this were it gets good . His son Frank sells cars their now . (Didn't get a scholly to U of L ) just saying ! Is the individual whom is in charge of these type of deals per se figures. OLE UK Jerry states that the dealearship is advised of whom to give these vehicles too. Ok yes the idea is to get a relationship with future pros. And it's no secret that TY TY is one of these types . However i still feel this is a move that is benefiting UK with extra help they don't need . He stated agents already are calling trying to get players deals and he knows that it's going to steer certain ones to particular schools. Let's watch how many deals are done with UK i got a feeling this ain't going to be the last. U of L players as expected getting shafted. SMH this NIL is going to ruin everything even more.

Red, just wait until bad results of these stupidity happens. So they say so and so is NBA potential. We’ve heard and seen that turn into failure. 18 + Porsche= god awful things. Put them in a sensible situation.

Yelp part of me hates the U of L guys get screwed. But in-hindsight we know with U of L's luck our players would have the worse luck with that type of deal. So keep those luxury vehicles off Floyd street.

What could ever go wrong with this NIL arrangement??? The more that I see these trends evolving with college sports and Professional sports ….. the more I see problems that most folks never imagined.

I mean yes and know. The kids deserve the money and I'm glad now it's out in the open where everyone can see what it takes to win and it's not hidden.

It would be naive to believe the NIL will make everything transparent. Once coaches recognize the compensations are equal and some advantage are necessary to attract a recruit, it will result in some circumventing the guidelines in order to get ahead.

The desire to win will be even stronger and human nature will ensure that these coaches will do whatever is necessary to win. You can count on that.

Regrettably PH; that is a very real consequence.

The only hope for UL, and many other schools in P5 conferences, is FBS leaving the NCAA. The recent Huggins statement about the NCAA tournament is reflective of how many coaches and ADs feel towards the NCAA in general. It is not just about the money; it goes well beyond financial interests, as it raises legitimate questions about the NCAA‘s inability to administer fair and equitable treatment of member institutions. I know it is wishful thinking on my part, but clearly Huggins going public is another indication of moment against the NCAA.

So if the kid wrecks the Porsche and accidentally kills someone can you go after the dealership. In this day in time I would almost think so. I think the better option would have been to just give money and let the kid waist it. However I would never buy from that dealership.

IMO, things are done that aren’t in the young folks best interest these days. Coach O, an example of covering/hiding mis-doings of his team, I64 East shenanigans of late. The adults are playing CYA for themselves only and not setting a responsible environment to correct bad behavior. NIL is not going to solve things, if leaders/adults don’t do the right thing leading.
