Going to be not fun? It hasn't been fun since covid stole the dance.Allot of fans finally got what they wanted. College sports are going to be really not fun going forward free agency
i've got the opposite thought, it's sutainable because private citizens are paying the NIL not schools. if someone wants to give a college player a million to come to their school it's really no different than offering jobs and houses to parents of kids by the boosters, or givng the dad a spot on the staff. it's been going on since bball and football started. reality is rich boosters have run college sports forever and nothing has changed. it's just more out in the open and fair. before is was WWW bring kids to where cal was and basically duke and uk benefited from nike sending kids that way. now every school if they have rich boosters can compete if they want to spend. and since america is capitalistic, and that means every person should have the right to negotiate their pay and what they think they are worth, NIL is truly the defintiion of the amrican dream for college athletes. sucks for the coaches but the kds who actually make all the money for their schools ar eactually now getting paid. and don;t reply with they get an education, many rich people never got an education and it shouldnt be forced upon kids if they are athletes. in fact my friends with the highest incomes don't have degrees. spending 4 years learning updated material just to get a piece of paper to prove you know something is dumb. get paid what you are worth, or what someone thinks you're worth.Men's College will implode in a couple of years. What's going on now is unsustainable. Kiss the game we love goodbye. 😢
