Is Simmons going to be the next Pierce? I.E. the guy we look for 2 years out that we zero in on and give him the opportunity to be the next guy in training? For a school like ours, I think this is a great strategy for QB recruiting. We won’t be able to bring in elite guys every class in today’s day and age with the portal, so giving it a year gap and getting a solid prospect like Khalib Johnson in between each elite guy would be a good pathway to filling the QB room with solid talent.
