Updated now to show Cunningham #1, Conley #2 and Pass #3.

I also thought it was noteworthy that we have 7 seniors or graduates in the depth chart on offense (out of 30 listed), 9 seniors or graduates in the defensive depth chart (out of 29 listed), and 4 seniors in the special teams depth chart (out of 12 listed, counting Mason King twice, since he is both starting punter and holder).

So we are NOT really a young team, but 5 of those 19 veteran players are grad transfers, 3 on offense and 2 on defense. In addition to the 5 grad transfers, we have 6 other first year players (1 redshirt freshman, 4 true freshmen and one sophomore by way of junior college) in the depth chart. And of course every player on this team is new to the offensive and defensive systems that Coach Satterfield is installing here.

By class, you have:
Offense:
Seniors and grads: 7 (4 starters)
Juniors: 9 (3 starters)
Sophomores: 9 (4 starters)
Freshmen: 5 (1 starter)

Defense:
Seniors and grads: 9 (4 starters)
Juniors: 9 (5 starters)
Sophomores: 11 (2 starters)
Freshmen: 0

Special teams (12 players listed at 6 positions)
Seniors: 4 (3 starters)
Juniors: 3 (2 starters)
Sophomores: 3 (1 starter)
Freshmen: 2 (0)

Thanks for the breakdown! Based on above it seems like we are going to get a lot thinner and/or a lot younger starting next season.

Phil Steel had us rated as the 15th most experienced team heading into the season. I'm surprised he predicted us to finish last in our division. I don't understand that.

Bc we went 2-10 and were one of the 2 worst P5 teams in football.

Steele had us last primarily because of the all the blowout losses in 2018. He felt that we would be much more competitive, but that we had so much ground to make up from last year that we would still be last.

Essentially he’s a slave to his numbers, and doesn’t allow much for us being a talented team that just quit after the FSU game.

And this is the problem with statistics.

They can’t factor in the human element that may effect the data.

RC...we don't have any stinking humans on this team. Watsa matta with u?
What we have is statistical anomalies! o_O Get it right my man!!!

Not to brag, but i championed a 1-2 of Micale-Conley last month.

We all know either Pass or Micale, one of those 2, will transfer after this season. We have a clear answer.

A medical red shirt, transfer, and Pass would still have two years of eligibility.

I don’t think that’s true, unless it can be documented that his first redshirt year was also due to injury. That’s the only way he’d be able to get two more years.

If he hasn’t played in four games this year, he can redshirt this year.

While true, he's already taken one redshirt year (he's a 4th year junior). He gets next year as his fifth year, and that's it, … unless he and UofL can document that he was injured during his first redshirt year. If he can, then the NCAA will very likely grant him a sixth year of eligibility.

Perhaps he uses this year as a medical redshirt since he’s been injured. I’ve seen some players ruled out for the year for “turf toe”

As the President in the movie Armageddon said, “enough with anomaly horse shit, what are dealing with here?”

“It’s an asteroid sir. The size of LOUISVILLE. No matter where it hits, it’ll be the end of the Deacons”
