Ok, so I know with this new age of DVR most people don't watch a lot of commercials myself included. But I did however see a new Adidas commercial that has been running for about a week or so. The commercial is talking about greatness and has sports teams from a wide range of leagues. Highlighted are a few Pro Soccer, the NBA, a few colleges and High Schools. I was under the impression that with the signing of UL's new contract that we would be moving into a more focused role. Needless to say I was disappointed in this commercial because with all of the all around success of the UL athletic department not one of these sports or individual highlights included UL. UCLA was highlighted as well as I believe A&M and Kansas. I live in TX so I didn't know if this was a Regional commercial or a National commercial. Either way Adidas better recognize who we are IMO. lol rant over, anyone else seen this commercial.
Ok so I went and found the commercial in case you haven't seen it. It's called the "Here's to the Takers" The problem I have is the relevance of the colleges highlighted. We have won a NC more recent than KU and they are highlighted. Maybe, I'm just being a little sensitive but shoot every time I watch it I feel disrespected because I know we have so many great programs.
