I am not so sure as to “how the Genie can be put back into the bottle”? The NCAA has a very long legal road ahead in its efforts to prevent Lawyers from going to the Courts and challenging this reversal.
There is no one on earth who would like to see amateur status return to college sports, more than myself, but I see too many lawyers, players and their families who will be successful in arguing against the NCAA’s decision. Remember it was the Courts who determined that players were entitled to NIL, and frankly no one felt sympathetic to either the NCAA, or the member institutions that were making so much money off the efforts of the players.
