NC State has a decent defense, but no offense at all. It looks like they'll be scoreless at the half, he'll this might be a draw lol.

Based on what I’ve seen from NC State since Leary went down, there is little doubt UofL will be favored against NC State.

No offense intended.

I'd rather we beat a team because we are a good team, not because the other team sucks. If we beat WF, I'll change my tune.
No offense taken ( And I agree) but we need wins period and the fact is will more than likely be favored in the NCSU game so losing isn’t an option, so I’ll take a win.

From David Hale at ESPN:

NC State has had 23 offensive drives without Devin Leary

7 field goals
13 punts
0 touchdowns

Good grief I didn’t realize they were losing to VT. They’ll drop like a rock

Well, they're ranked right now. Win, and they'll still be ranked.
What I'm saying is they're not going to win. They play Wake next week and BC before they play the Cards. I just don't see them being ranked when we play them, and regardless if they are or not, it doesn't mean anything for Louisville.

This is not hoops. Louisville needs wins, not impressive wins to play a 13th game.

Absolutely. Wins are a must and losses can’t happen. We’re not playing for a championship of anything, we’re just needing progress and wins. We’ve had our share of bad luck it’s time we take advantage of others misfortune. Doesn’t bother SEC teams to play cupcakes to bolster their records. We started with the 8th toughest schedule I don’t think a win over a bad P5 school is anything to worry about.

Looks like NC State has a 3rd string freshman QB who can sling it. Nice comeback. I still won't be surprised if the Pack fall from the rankings even if they hold onto this game.

We saw the same thing in our loss to FSU, Travis goes out and a rookie steps in.

NCST lost a lot when Leary went down, but the Wolfpack has built a football program that is as solid as any in the ACC. It would be a mistake to count out any opponent.

I suspect Pitt was extremely confident coming into Louisville last week, particularly as they seemed to have contained Malik for much of the contest. No one expected UL’s defense to dominate in the manner we witnessed.

I agree. I don't know what has gone on in practice but the game day defense seems to have improved since some "sideline decisions" a few weeks back.

But I am still concerned about our offense. I just can't "put my finger on it".

Peace

I agree with you WildCard. It's a real head scratcher as well.

GO CARDS!!!

WC …. It is difficult to explain the inconsistent performance on the offensive side. We can identify a few excuses, like injuries to our RBs and WRs, but then we have witnessed several instances where “next man up” have come in and performed rather well.

Perhaps we should credit the opposing defensive coordinators, as they have had years of watching film to prepare for Malik“s happy feet?
