Yep. The free throw line killed WF tonight. Take that stat away and this is a different ball game with possibly a different outcome. The Cards hit 10 of 14 from the line. The Cards won by 8.

I agree. UofL was fortunate that Wake kept on missing free throws, especially that late 3 pointer foul that Snider committed that could've put them within 3. I was surprised that the Wake player missed all three free throws but I also breathed a sigh of relief.

Another stat that jumped out at me was 18 assists on 24 field goals. I wish that was UofL's stat, but that belonged to WF. That tells me they're a really good passing team. I'm glad we don't have to play them at their place this year.

Just as startling was the fact we only had 8 assists, a repeat of the UK game. This team has way too many good passers to have only 8 assists. I think snider had his two in the first 5 minutes of the game

Yep. That number MUST improve. We need a much higher percentage of assists on made field goals to reach the ultimate goal, and that is to contend for a national championship. 8 assists a game isn't going to get it done.
