[If we did have an assistant there which it sounds like we did]

Two year postseason ban. I dont think the NCAA will ever levy a death penalty again under any circumstance [I offer Penn St as exhibit A]. But a 2 year ban is pretty harsh too like they did UK nearly 30yrs ago and sends a very strong message..

I think the Baylor/Dave Bliss penalty is harshest punishment that today's NCAA will give out. There were payments to players, drug accusations, and a player murdering a teammate. They had a season where they didn't play a non-conference schedule and severe scholarship/recruiting restrictions for several years. Based on that, I'm not sure the UofL situation is worse, and don't think the death penalty will ever be an option for any team again. I'd say a modified version of that punishment will eventually come.

I agree with you biloxi, but the NCAA likes to throw out the whole barrel if they find one bad apple

But, Penn St wasn't on probation when they had their problems. That is the problem here. Cards are currently on probation, when another violation occurs. That is the grounds for the death penalty. Hopefully, it won't happen.

Death penalty puts the yum center bonds in default, too much financial burden to communities to continue that practice.

When Penn St did not get the death penalty, the NCAA spokesman said that was an option they would most likely never use again. Instead they would resort to postseason bans for egregious or repeat offenders.

So its like a nuke, they probably wont ever use it again but keep it around as a deterrent.

[Then again, they never stripped a team of a national title before...damn, now I just undid my argument]
