What a scum bag having Katina Powel on his show tomorrow, and he has to do it at a secret location. I know for a fact he is paying her too. You would think Clear Chanel would not stoop so low too.Matt Jones is a pure scum bag and most of UK fans hate him too. What comes around goes around like how he had to backtrack when he was calling Calapari a cheater before UK hired him.

In fairness, what do you think is wrong about interviewing her? She has been interviewed by national outlets, most notably ESPN. It is a major news story and she is the central figure. It would seem almost crazy NOT to interview her, especially now that the allegations have been conceded to some extent. I don't see a problem with it and I wouldn't if it was UK involved, so long as she isn't glorified or treated like a victim (which I agree that some outlets, namely ESPN, have treated her almost like she was a victim, which is ridiculous). I don't think Jones will treat her as a victim, even if he does give Louisville a hard time.

It's a huge story and it WILL create huge ratings. In the end, that's the goal of any media outlet. As distasteful as it is to us, and as distasteful as Jones is, it is still a big ratings bonanza for Clear Channel. It's exactly the kind of anti-UofL thing that will have massive appeal to BBN. I'm sure you've heard the phrase there is no such thing as bad publicity. Whether you're a UofL fan tuning in to see how bad it is, or a UK fan tuning in to cheer on Matt's agenda, you are still a listening potential consumer for sponsors. If you want to protest it, don't listen, then don't discuss it. But, we all know we are too curious for that. It is what it is.

I'm calling BS you saying you wouldn't have a problem with it if it was UK. Matt Jones is a scumbag pure and simple. He is an evil person who loves to see misery in others

So glad Fem-boy Matty is doing this because he is either going to lose a lot of his audience or at the very least make the ones tuning into this realize they are just as slimy as him and Ms Powell.

Bravo.

What can be asked of Powell at this point? At this point the book is old news. We all get it. Andre McGee paid you at some point to come to his dorm for stripper parties where the girls could engage in sex if they wanted to. It happened 12-24 times over a four year period.

The only things left to ask are things like, "are you worried about criminal prosecution from this?" "do you fear significant jail time for human trafficking?"

I mean really what is the point besides hard hitting questions about her own legal situation? The gist of the book is true and our self imposed penalty admits that.

I think it is funny there actually is somebody dumb enough on this thread who thinks Matt Jones is going to ask the whore tough questions.

Question is why? He's not associated with UL in any capacity. Thus nothing more than to pander to SuCk fan base. The guy is obsessed with UL. Nut case. All of those fans had better watch what they wish for. If CRP should depart you just don't know who will end up with.

I think the "why" is pretty obvious. He runs a business. Getting an interview with her is huge for business. Same reason ESPN did it. His business also happens to be Kentucky sports, and Louisville happens to be Kentucky's rival, so it makes even more sense. I totally get the frustration from Louisville fans, but Jones would be crazy not to interview her.

Your fan base is so obsessed with UL it boarders insanity. I lived in NC and there fans aren't obsessed with each other like that, and their campuses are just about on top of each other. I personally could careless what's going on at uk. Except when we play. One things for sure they should get along fine they're both trash.

Yes and it speaks volumes about the vermin that make it worthwhile.

Beating a dead whore is good for business in Big Blew nation. I'm assuming Trash Can Larry won't need to accompany her in the friendly confines of fem-boy Matty's lair either.

I am sure there are a lot that have an unhealthy obsession with Louisville, but it is the same in the other direction. Just perusing the Louisville boards for a few minutes makes that very clear. Look, the fan bases are made up of the same people, for the most part. It never makes sense to me when fans attack another team's fans based on generic stereotypes because it isn't as though one type of person becomes a fan of one type of school. Every major program has a similar fan base in terms of the people that make it up.

As for those that argue that you should be concerned with only your team and not take joy in the disfortune of your rival, I disagree. In life, I agree, but not in sports. Sports is about competition and entertainment, which means doing better than your competition and having fun in the process. Period. It means absolutely nothing in the grand scheme, from the standpoint of a fan. So I would expect UK fans to have a ton of fun with this, just as I expect Louisville fans to give UK nonstop crap for its issues 25-30 years ago and for Cal's issues, not matter whether I agree with the substance of the criticism.

But it would be just as good for business if the roles were reversed. Again, ESPN spent an entire day on the story, including an interview with her. She was also interviewed by other major outlets. Now, if we are talking about the right or wrong of it all from a societal perspective -- as opposed to isolating this to a UK/UofL issue -- then I would be the first to agree that this entire thing is sad, especially those who glorify her and even treat her as a victim, which is ridiculous. She is a terrible person from all indications. But that doesn't mean that it is not news and big news.

So if you had a local radio show I'm assuming you'd have her on your show if you could. Personally I'd be ashamed if I had to rely on scum for my business but that's just me.

Yeah theirs people who get excited with SuCks problems but they stay on our board. I doubt many bust your board or how about the morons who show up at our games wearing their SuCk gear. We had several DA SuCk fans at the UNC game one almost got in a fight with a UNC fan for attending our game. That is far from normal. I've lived throughout the south attended plenty of college events and that's not normal. Which brings me to this question why are you on our board?

Same reason I am on any other board...for discussion, and to pass the time at work. I actually spend more time on other boards (mainly the MB and the college basketball board) rather than on UK boards.

What is this "disfortune" you speak of?

Big Bluebonics, lol.

Hey we can get a UL shirt and hat.
